Champagne

From the French wine-producing region of Champagne hails the world’s most famous sparkling wine. If the bottle you’re holding doesn’t come from here, then it can’t be called real Champagne, only champagne-style sparkling wine. Or something like that.

However, there are some wines in a similar style, such as Spain’s Cava, that stand up as quality drinks in their own right, and can be used as good alternatives for mixing up cocktails.
