Grenadine

Grenadine takes it’s name from the spanish word for pomegranate, granada, basically because it is a sweetened concentrate of pomegranate juice.

Widely used in cocktails as a sweetener, most commercial brands are sadly nothing more than simple syrup with food colouring thrown in. If y0u can find a good brand, or even make your own, it can add a new dimension to all those generic girl drinks you’re sick of making for your less refined friends.
